Genuine question – a site like this obviously takes a ton of time and some very real costs to produce & maintain. Is it just a labor or love, does it drive business in other ways or what? I don't know why, but I'm perplexed about it being free and just wondering where/how it pays off for you guys producing such great quality stuff.

And thanks!

Based on your results, you “passion” a LOT harder than most.

So it’s been a few days and I’ve been toying with how to answer this question. In the past 9 years I have spent hours building this site with my business partner. Really more hours than I want to even recall.

It sounds cliche but there’s no other way to explain it – it was passion. Passion to have the best information about the subject that I can’t get enough of.

Does it pay? Well there are easier ways to make money.

I really don’t like getting into all the business details in a public forum but really for the lack of a better word it is passion. Though if you remember the origin of the word “passion” comes from the Greek “to suffer” than you have a clearer understanding of why I do what I do.
