Finally got the replacement parts for China. Practicing forward takeoff and landings from my garage. This is much easier to control than a straight up hover. I think I’ll work on perfecting this before trying anything tricky – what’s really frightening me is orientation and knowing to reverse when the copter is pointed at you. [...]

    Westworld(1973)

The best way I think I can sum up this movie as dry. It’s not especially slow, it’s not badly made and Yul Brenner is great to watch. There is also a great deal of fun to be had messing with the genres. But there isn’t much fizz to be had.

On a different note, no pun intended, here is the original score for the film, composed by Daniel Beijbom… I believe this is the only part I’m truly happy with…

I think I’m going to regret telling that story… I should have let John close the topic out with his psychotic rage post…hmmm…… YOLO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT: I apologized to him 30 minutes ago. He just responded he says: “F**K OFF!!!!” I tried :)

@Dark_Water said: On the basis of that, I’d never work with you. The guy might have pissed you off but he still worked. I’ve been fired from films on bad circumstances, they still had the courtesy to credit me.

The only reason I said that is, I know, that it would be a fluke accident if we [...]

I don’t want to seem like I’m spamming my own topic, but I’d like to share a piece that worked pretty well. It was in a scene where a prisoner was dragged away and this played while she was screamed. I thought it was pretty effective.

I didn’t take your advice John…. Us three were Skyping tonight… And the other director said, the other guy had no say in our creative process (we were planning our next short). So I told him if Guy 2 had no say, than he didn’t either. So he blew up at us, and started insulting [...]

To continue the Bogart and Bacall season… Dark Passage (1947) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O1ZcLFW2UvI I would think the best way to describe this classic is as an experiment. We may believe there is nothing special about shooting from the first person perspective but in the 40’s it was quite a novelty. It is also a production necessity, the [...]

Thanks John. I’m testing out one of the tracks used. The upload was easy and fast compared with Crapspace. I think it’s come out a little loud but I don’t think that’s a problem.
