Seems that my notification indicator isn’t vanishing after I address an accepted friendship.

I noticed that as well. For now if you go to your profile and click on friends it should go away.

I just discoverd this site and I really like it but every page loads slowly then jumps back to a previous page before it finishes loading. I then have to hit the back button to get back to the page I want. Is this just happening to me? I am not having any problems with any other site.

It actually loads fairly well on my end.

Stick with it, there’s some usability stuff coming down this week.

    Try deleting your cookies.

What browser type and version are you using?
    What type of Internet connection?
    Do you use a firewall?

  • Avatar Image Mike McDaniel said 1 year, 10 months ago:

I am using IE8. I logged on from work and I don’t seem to have the problem of jumping back to a previous page. The page loads still seem on the slow side. I am on a 3Mb connection at both places. My computer at home runs a Sophos client firewall and the one at work does not. So, now I suspect that the firewall may be the issue.

It’s most likely a corrupted cookie, try deleting your cookies and cache. When you login it redirects you back to the page you logged in from (refreshes). If the cookie is corrupted that may cause it to jumpback.

Well, I’ve been thinking about giving Google Chrome a try. I just installed it and it makes a BIG difference. It is much faster.

I deleted the cookies and it did indeed fix the page jumping problem. The page loads are still slow. I have tried Google Chrome and it is much faster so I believe I’ll be switching browsers. Thanks for the help!!

IQ v4 that will be out on the 4th will help with your IE slowness at work. It will also of course make things even faster in other browsers.

I think Google Chrome may be the best from speed. It would be what I use if I didn’t depend on Firefox’s web design tools.

Let us know if you find any other errors. When v4 goes live we are going to need all the bug hunters we can get. ;)

Still think Opera is the fastest browser out there with the exception of using google tools, chrome has been optimized for all of those.

I use firefox because of it’s heightened security and browser extensions that the speed browsers cannot support to keep their speeds up (chrome cannot support javascript filtering, it’s either disabled and enabled, not site dependent).

Will be interesting to see what Firefox 4 can do.
