I suggested to the arranger who I bought a large number of trumpet charts that he should do the Simpson’s theme as a bookmark to Family Guy. Well he came back at me with a monstrosity calling for 11 horns and all kinds of weird runs. Dang, I didn’t realize how musically insane Danny Elfman’s piece is having been listening to it for 20 years or so..
