  • Hello FilmmakerIQ friends , I wanted to ask some things.
First of all , I have a Nikon D60 (along with a 18-55mm lens) which by the way takes some great pics for its age and specs but has no video. So I am looking to upgrade ( I would like to keep the D60 too) . I would like to buy additionally a 50mm f1.8 lens , a 55-200mm lens and a wide-angle one and of course a newer Nikon body that shoots 1080 24p at least; a 1080p 60fps option would be nice too.

So should I upgrade or should I choose another camera ? Canon, sony etc? Because I have seen some great videos from canon 70D or 7D and some others at the same budget don’t get equivalent results. So help ?

    Thanks a lot in advance

    anyone ?

I’ve heard that the 70D is a decent all-around camera.

    Hi Vasilis Akouloglou,

I really haven’t tested out all the DSLRs but I don’t really think you’re going to see much difference in the Canon DSLR line up image wise. If I were really up for buying a DSLR camera right now, I’d be looking at the Sony a7RII for it’s photo and 4K capability.

Basically, it comes down to this – the “cinematic” look has a lot less to do with the camera these days and more to do with what you put in front of the camera.
