Not bad. I knew most of the advice in this article already, though I was under the assumption (because of film school) that a 35mm lens had the visual equivalent to what we see with our eyes.
It all depends on the size of the image sensor. A normal lens for photography is about the size of the diagonal of the image plane. For film, it was decided that tit should be double the diagonal:
