Glad he finally got rid of the worklights!
Although he dismisses tungsten too quickly – my tungsten lights go years without having to change bulbs. And there are many inexpensive brands to choose from.
You will have the same heat and power issues as you did with the worklights but at least you’ll get a nicer beam of light.

I have tungsten lights but I’m looking to buy/build a LED kit. Reason being is I shoot outside a lot and also I think LEDs are the future. Arri has a series coming out that looks awesome (bet it’ll be expensive)
I’m also looking to grab some fluorescent lights also. LEDs and Fluorescent is the route I’m going. With that being said, my tungsten lights work well and I haven’t had to change bulbs yet.
