DSLR Film Look Using Shutter Speed
Olivia Speranza shows you how to simulate the film or cinematic look with a DSLR camera. Without getting too technical, a basic rule is to keep your shutter speed at about twice the framerate. Using ND filters helps you to control that setting when out in bright daylight.

Nice to see how the footage looks at higher shutter speeds. I just read an article on the cinematic look and shutter speed. No video there though, so this comes nicely. Thanks.
Looks great. it’s given a distance to the picture more like tha Bolex I used to shoot on. Thanks for the tip. Really helpful. It will mean make up on actors and better lighting of course. But you can’t have it both ways I suppose.
