The third Alvin And The Chipmunks movie isn’t a particularly joyful thought. This time, Tim Hill passed on the chance to direct, heading off to make Hop instead.

Shrek Forever After’s Mike Mitchell stepped into his shoes (and Mitchell earns bonus points off us for the excellent combination of Greg The Bunny and Sky High), and the film is in post-production now for a December release. It’s in 3D, too. Perfect.
