In 2002, Errol Morris was commissioned by the 75th Academy Awards to produce a short film highlighting the evocative nature of film to cheer up a grieving nation. His short film would later go on to win an Emmy. A taped segments that was never used in the final cut had Donald Trump pontificating on the life of Citizen Kane.
