DIY Automated DSLR Timelapse Slider

If you want an automated slider/timelapse rig, but don’t want to pay the cost, here is a DIY one you can build yourself.

Aluratek Universal 12V / 1.5A Li-ion Rechargeable Battery Pack
The top plate is a rectangular piece of aluminum with a hole cut out to mount the ball head, and the platform that the rail is bolted to is a saw horse from home depot with the top cut off. The two idler bearings are just skateboard wheel bearings that are spaced out with washers. The end pieces are square tubing.

cool video! It’s not clear to me whether the mx2 continously runs the motor, or if it runs it, stops it takes picture then restarts it? This could of course have an impact for images where there are long exposures (say 30 seconds)
