New Paramount division will think small

As people cut back on their expenditures, Paramount Pictures is thinking in terms of small budget films (technically not “indies”). Will this venture result in failure as so many other “small budget” wings of major studios?
The as-yet-unnamed division’s initial plan is to finance as many as 20 “micro-budget” movies annually starting in 2010, Adam Goodman, president of Paramount’s film group, said Thursday.
